So I was curious to see what vztz's forums say about us

I have been playing on VZTZ since August of 2007. I will start off by saying the characters I play are Rexx / Kaen. I was leader of Heresy for its entire duration and basically have been the best geared warrior and cleric the server saw.

VZTZ started as a great place, and lasted for quite a while really. The various wipes and GM interventions, as well as hacking, have made it a rather un attractive place to outsiders and new comers. At the same time the server has provided people who did not get to experience classic Everquest PVP a chance to do so. While you may be able to compare and contrast it to your "elite" everquest PVP experience, some of us are not as lucky to do so and are grateful to take the oppurtunity presented to indulge in the VZTZ server.

I understand there are some shitheads on our server, but there are some on yours as well. PVP is just more prone to attracting the lesser of the crowds, mainly due to the ability to grief easier than on blue servers. I came from a blue server, Cazic Thule on live, and discovered emulated pvp circa summer 2006. I had no ideal what i was missing on live and would go back in a heartbeat to have played on a red server.

At the end of the day, I give props to Project 1999 for providing a stable server with a high population, yet at one time VZTZ broke the 300 mark and had a prime of its own. In the long run, i could not play blue, its too boring now. PVP adds an element that is irreplaceable and that sirs is all the difference.

Some valid points; however I played on VZTZ emulated server. It is nothing like TZ was on live.
