Honestly I got way more attention when I got pretty irl. Also definitely some hopeful suitors. I feel bad about it and don't have the emotional maturity so I generally hide myself in games now too because I spent like a year as the pretty girl with groupies in wow. I don't actually want to be that online though. I have tried to play a few male, uggo, ogre, troll type characters since. Idk I get bored rping some masculine archetype and end up just being a really gay dude with a girly voice. So. Uhm. Tldr. It's easier to just be a girl, and not overshare. I always take time to help other players too. Even if I've "done that rare named 100x". Honestly hate the grind because I would rather spend that time helping other players. And ya ppl are nicer to *nice girls online. It's sometimes hard to group up with an irl veteran guy for some pvp thing and keep from laughing my ass off hysterically for four hours at their commentary, being a girl is a great cover tho for how bad I am at pvp and my terrible reaction times. And helps me get carried some. So that's pretty much my experience as passing for a woman online. Also being a part of the pet club and talking about boys, families, and life stuff. I have had a few good friendships with women that didn't know or care and that was nice. | |||
