Crying out for 'professionalism' is just asking for leverage, some expectation to hold people to when things don't go your way. Overly stuffy professionalism and too much bureaucracy and red tape keep anything from getting done and impede common sense. Look at SOE as an example of policy superseding progress. People are spoiled by it. Here, people who are doing the wrong thing are held accountable, and people doing the right thing are well taken care of. This is one of the few places that even exist where that can be said.

Most places today, cowering behind the safety of 'by the book' and 'professionalism' leave individuals to suffer at the mercy of overly broad rules and nitpicked details while stuffed shirts and limp-wristed management ignore the bigger picture present in any situation and do nothing.

I get shit done, no matter what's in my way and no matter what it takes to do it. It has its good and its bad side, but just ask anyone who's threatened the server how effective I am. Someone like me is necessary to keep things rolling in a place like this, no matter how much you like it or don't. Just like someone like Amelinda is necessary to bring a softer side to the staff. She'll at least smile while telling you to stfu. I might not always get it right, but I bring good old fashioned common sense and a pretty good moral compass to this server. I'm not here to be liked, I'm here to get shit done, and I bring it loud and fast.
