Look, I get that we needed to leave Afghanistan (at least ground troops), but we allowed The Taliban to advance unimpeded as our aircraft sat on the ground doing nothing. There was no plan to either remove our weapons and equipment so it wouldn't be taken by the enemy and there was no plan to evacuate Americans before a situation like this possibly took place.

The Intel was there. They knew this could happen for a long time and Biden sat in his diapers and didn't a damn thing about it. For anyone to make the claim that it would have happened like this regardless has shit for brains.

bungling aside, it's not that big a deal to leave vehicles behind. they have no mechanics or parts to fix em, shit breaks all the time. hopefully they ripped out all the electronics though.

Yeah exactly. It was enlightening reading the comments on this pic on Reddit from people in the military. All of them basically said this same thing, that in like a month that vehicle will be useless because it requires heavy maintenance and the Taliban won't have the parts nor the expertise to fix it.
