The only thing that seemed to change was i installed a windows update: Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H1

Ok, i uninstalled that update and can login in fine now with SP3 with no changes. No errors.

Edit: yep 100% that was what it was. logged in like 5 times now. set all my old configs back from backups. had nothing to do with resolution or service pack.
