How can a "publically" owned company buy itself back from the public? Couple this with the fact that it's essentially "free" money that they're borrowing from the financial industry at near-zero interest inflating the value of their stock. If a publically traded stock market is the search for the valuation of a company between buyers and sellers, who is the organization itself to add artificial value to that value-finding mission? This is what causes rampant speculation leading to stock market crashes that economically destroy individuals.
