Would you know, comparable to Beastlords pet, is Mage's pet stronger? Probably, since Mage can't melee like Beastlord. I was thinking to try Beastlord since that one would be new to me and I would have melee class for sort of tank for my group... (Beastlord, Druid, Cleric)?

Mage pets are stronger than Beastlord pets. However Beastlord pets get amazing proc / Dex buffs and are proc machines too.

Beastlord is a very good class to start with.
bst/dru/clr is a 100% perfect starting trio.

Bst offers tank/pet tank + slow + buffs
dru offers ports, DS, buffs and very good heals
clr offers rez, buffs and CH

Once you get this trio to 60, you can easily powerlevel any other class you want to play.

If I ever get PAKT client working on my Linux, this will be my starting combo.

The rest is similar to P99, right? Best Druid is Wood Elf, Dwarf Cleric is a good combo and these two can start leveling together right away since one can easy run to another zone.

But I have no clue about BST, which class would be preferable?
