Lol I love the whiney bitch that posted in that thread about uninstalling the game. OH NO I'd have to stare at a gray screen for 10 seconds anyways and now it's filled with an advertisement for the game company. THE HORROR.

I think it's actually a really good idea, especially if it's a F2P game.

probably because its the start of a disgustingly fucking pathetic campaign to riddle game worlds with modern pop culture shit fucking commercials that i play these games to get away from, we can thank this company and WoW for pioneering the way for soulsucking capitalism with absolutely no entrepreneurship based on a passion, but on greed.

The above mentioned game has the option to turn off said advertisements for PAYING members. Anyone that wants to ride the coattails of a F2P game without investing anything back into it should most certainly be subjected to earning the company some extra revenue. No harm no foul when they'd be staring at a grayed out screen anyways.

When said ad campaigns make their way into pay-to-play games is when it becomes the consumer's responsibility to stop supporting the company by cancelling their account and walking away. I really don't foresee any serious company shooting themselves in the foot like that though.
