could someone explain to me how an NFT has value?

Like if you own a .jpg, and I use it, can you come to my house and sue me?

I really cant wrap my brain around this NFT thing.

no, you can still "use" it, but since you don't even own it that "use" is totally illusory, u are outside looking in, a barbarian at the gate, unpropertied, unregarded, unremembered & of no greater meaning than any other 180lb biomass, like for example that amount of excrement, maybe that of sickly horses.
