Consequences are rare in MMOs. While this is hardly a complaint, if anyone's corpse poofs at the bottom of dungeon A or ocean B on p99, it's only a petition away from being retrieved from the abyss. There might be a waiting period, but still it's reassuring to know that your possessions aren't lost forever. Corpses poofing would even take some items and coin out of the economy. But then, as with keying on island 1 in Plane of Sky, there wouldn't be that familiar monthly pile of corpses at the EC/Freeport zoneline.
All this being said, no credit to the players who woke the Sleeper since it wasn't much of an accomplishment, especially when compared to community events and player-made agreements enforced by staff. | ||
