Quest Issue: Eye of RokGus

I know the Eye of RokGus was originally supposed to be on Cheif RokGus in Droga and then move to a Burynai Slave in Nerga about a month into the Kunark release. I believe it is now past that month in the release cycle and I have been checking with the farmers at the Chief and with a few groups farming the slaves in Nurga. No one has seen this drop on either loot table. Looking for a GM confirmation that this is still a loot-able item for those on the Necro skullcap #7 quest and that it has migrated to the eye plundering slaves.

Looks like the eye begins dropping (from slaves) in the Epics era, which would be September 2000. I do not see the Chief has a chance to ever drop it.

Sooo, if there is something wrong with this, please provide research/links etc.

Thank you for your reply. I did some checking and I agree with you on the timing and the drop chance. I was confused when I saw multiple posts elsewhere talking about the Chief previously dropping the item. I did not realize it was a fix (since the Chief eventually dropped it past classic), and that you had already fixed it to what it now is. Thanks again for your time.

Chief eventually started dropping it in 2002, this Japanese page has a nice timeline to it.

First capture in Jan 2002 references only Buryna dropping Eye of Rokgus:

A bit later in 2002 it is updated to say where you should go to get pops of Burynai for the eye:

Then in September 2002 it references Chief Rokgus dropping it:

But Chief didn't drop it originally. From the Allakhazam page, quest was broken until Eye of Rokgus was added to the Burynai around US Thanksgiving of 2000:
