Quote:
Christians are essentially martyred in the tribulation, as we pick up our cross and follow him, quite literally. That's why the seed planted in rocky soil, (peter's church) with shallow roots, doesn't have the temerity to weather the ravages of the sun, and is burned up, whilst the fertile soil deeply takes root, and bears good fruit. Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord , till he come and rain righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/hos.10.12.KJV This is and Old Testament verse instructing you how to make fertile your soil. Several other translations of this verse actually use the words "make fertile your soil" specifically. The interpretation of the parable of the 3 soils, at most churches I've attended, use the parable to fill themselves with false pride of being "the good guys", but in reality, it's an instruction to sanctify one's self with diligent obedience toward God's will, so that you can make ready a place where the spirit of wisdom (holy spirit/Sophia) can reside. | |||
