Well, that's a valid complaint. Someone's sexual preference has no relevance to anything except who they want to sleep with/love.

Normally, it's just in good fun, but looking at the world right now I think its better we all avoid using remarks related to sexual orientation as a negative. The reality is that it's perfectly ok for a politician in the US to say "I dont think gays should be able to marry." Living with two friends currently looking to get married and seeing what they need to deal with, I've become a lot more aware of how such taunts do contribute to bigotry.

Even in a state that allows gay marriage, they were turned away from a place to hold their reception, simply because they are both women. It's insane that in 2011 people are so hateful of strangers over a matter of who they love.

It's difficult to stop referring to things as "gay," but I think it's a positive step we can all take. Sure, in the company of friends who know completely what context you are using such language it causes no harm, but in any type of public medium I feel a little restraint can go a long way to creating a positive environment for all.

I think gnomish summed it up rather nicely.

Basically you have three options. You can follow the rules of the forums, go away or I can assist you in going away. You are not even close to being the worst offendor on these forums but the pros manage to skirt by because they keep mostly to R&F where they belong. You should take a tip from them.

I want to be very clear: Stormhowl is in bold, I am classified under drama. This is not a shitpost: This whole thread is full of infractable offenses under those three things right there. Don't single me out just because I happen to be the boldest (and relatively new).

A stupid post is Fourthmeal entering a post and saying "Think outside the bun" when everyone was talking about parsing damage or poorly coded backstab damage spreads. A stupid post is not someone talking on-topic or commenting on something someone else shared, which is exactly what stormhowl did.

Maybe you have some beef with the guy from another thread - deal with it there or in RnF. But he did nothing wrong before you told him to "shut the f*** up." You just couldn't control yourself when someone else was a minor annoyance, or even muster the will to make an RnF thread like Tiggles did for Zura.
