It's a lot more tedious to power level as a necromancer but certainly do-able. Pet damage is treated just like any other damage you would do to a mob, no difference. Basically, when you FD it takes away all the damage you have done to the mob (in regards to who will get XP) unless you pop back up. So if your dot kills the mob but the monk has only done 2 points of damage or something stupid, he will not get XP. But if he is attacking with you the entire time and then you FD at 4% mob health he will have far more damage than what the final tick of the DoT does after you FD.

Your best bet is going to be shit that your pet can mow down and you take mobs to like 10% then let him finish the job and you heal with your life transfers.

Mistmore castle or Cazic Thule would be an excellent place to PL him from 36-early 40s. At 46 he can get XP with you in a group so you can just charm regularly and PL him that way

You will have to kill pet each mob, even if you fd pet will steal exp. Just dmg shield, charm and break charm.
