Yeah, I remember talking to Asteria about this before, the atmosphere is totally different, I kinda forget because I was a d2 baby. She was pretty right about that.

diablo 1 being good and diablo 3 being trash

for me d2 repeated the d1 formula excellently for my stage of life, and I spent the most time in d2, I only got little tastses of d1 as a baby and didn't get deep into it.

D2 had so much cool stuff and it nailed the genre prefectly, I played sorceress like 300 different ways

Yeah d2 was mechanically the pinnicle

d3 was like wowlite with garbage floor mechanics and phasing

d1 was, is special and the beggining, it cannot ever be replicated probably until we forget\

D2 is probably second on my list nexto Quake3
