This is something I've been confused about, republicans are upset they may lose the election but I think they're winning just about everything else aren't they? Biden is very, very unlikely to be able do very much in office if he wins.

Even if Trump wins, the victory wouldn’t seem very satisfying. I was hoping for an overwhelming blowout.

All this past 4 years and last 3 days has shown me is that we will never be a unified country again. The divide between conservatives and the left is too big. There is no pertinent common ground that the 2 groups can cleave to anymore. We used to be a country that shared common values, but had differing interests or different ways of reinforcing those values. Without the shared values, we will become more and more polarized - it’s not like this is coming as a surprise to anyone.

A push for libertarianism is the only way I can see this nation fixing itself. The unfortunate part is that our government has become so powerful, it would never be able to take a step back and let the people govern themselves. Additionally, candidates like Jo Jorgeson are completely pathetic and uninspiring.

I called this back on Wednesday morning, it’s over for Trump. Biden’s got enough votes and trajectory to win the election. Now we just have to hope that he will last long enough to keep Kamala out of power

Wait, you're waving the flag for a NY liberal draft dodger that ran as a neocon, and calling Jo Jorgensen pathetic and uninspiring? Lmao...

I mean that could be a thing here it just won't be. The whole system was setup the way it was because the founding fathers assumed we'd all be too fucking stupid to make good decisions for ourselves.

For me the most shocking thing about the last 4 years is how heinously bullshit everything our education taught us about how our government works is. There's no actual checks and balances, the president actually is a monarch, there's zero accountability, and the past several hundreds years has only really functioned based on the assumption that the monarch wouldn't be too big of a dick. And that's kinda sad.

Har har I joke but I know you're running out of centrist support hard.
Which is why there are no common held values, those values have slipped away over the years. It wasn't an overnight thing, just something not many were paying attention to. Our big competitor is a hot ditch party that donates heavily to the DNC... I mean, is it that hard to understand why our values split?

Pronouns..heck, even Pat considers them experiments. I know this because he said it directly to me here on the forums like a year ago when I was arguing with the trans here, he is their big defender.

You guys are worried about common ground but wasn't worried when you were sleeping on it and getting carried along. The unacceptable Orange Man Baby, whats funny is this was brought out in a man that the public despises.
