yeah when i read the 4.0 manual it was like - WTF? they scrapped EVERYTHING they designed and improved over last 15 years from 2.0 to 3.5, and went back to essentially 1.0 with everything ultra-plain and stupid... Of course now they can release 4.5 and 5,0 which will, ehem, "fix" the 4.0 junk they made, so they can sell it over and over again.
WotC is well known as the greediest company on earth in gaming industry...

Seriously. If I ever played again, I would only ever buy AD&D books from used book stores, published by TSR.

i dont think ill touch 4.0, 3.0/3.5 is'nt that bad to play, but adnd is the best, if to whom is playing the dnd set in norrath, just play with eq adventures book, they have set rules for it being in norrath, i dont know the rules of how its ran with the dice, i may go to my local bookmans and buy a copy

i was going to try 4.0 but tards on amazon and other sites want a shit load of cash for em, f that

but if you're new to dnd, play the 3.5 rules, its simple and fun
