I think Off-topic serves a useful role, particularly if you haven't experienced the phenomena, is that people will hold the most idiotic point of view ever and even after you completely destroy them with facts and logic they get right into your face and tell you to go fuck yourself.

I know people like that in real life and I call them friends. We go drinking. Sometime we fuck each other's wives but that's a different story.
