When does XP penalty get removed?

Wiki doesn't say as far as I saw. I was thinking of jumping back in and trying out an alt but then I remembered that XP penalties are a thing. This game is already insanely grindy enough as is without a heavy penalty on top of it.

P99 is it's own great custom project, but it's not classic ("classic" isn't attainable imho) and so personally I think they should just toss the XP penalty.

Its a little after Velious. Its closer to server end then beginning. It will be around the end of 2021

If you think of exp as 'grindy' than you probably don't like EQ.
