Is jumping over a guild who does most or all of the clearing work considered bad form? Or was that accepted generally on live as fair play.

This was considered fair game.

I remember on E'Ci the top raiding guild parked a 60mage at trak and would summon the entire guild down before another guild could clear their way. Live raiding was a much different environment than project 1999.
