I harvest the mages in Najena for elven blood and I’m not surprised by your findings. It’s very hit or miss and favors heavily to miss. I notice the same trend on the gators in CT - Sometimes they drop plenty and then go a few days not seeing any. I never did the mage focus quests on live so I don’t know how the drop rate compares, I just know that when I did them for my P99 mage in the early days (2011) and based on my recent blood harvesting, it took awhile to see any.
