I never said I use it to automate twisting. I still have to press a button to play each song. It just puts those, along with most other functions, in a more compact and streamlined layout that makes doing them all together much more accessible for someone like me.

I think the real deal-breaker is the lack of cycle targeting. Having to constantly use the mouse and/or re-position to get targets is going to be a pain (literally). I get that it's not classic and can accept that and move on. Preserving difficulty often means limiting accessibility.
