Sweden is interesting because it's the only western country I'm aware of that isn't bothering with a lock-down and instead relying on the developing herd immunity quickly strategy the UK originally wanted to follow. Herd immunity doesn't work like that with a virus........that's why nobody but the really fucking stupid are trying it. There are currently thought to be two versions (h)(j) but too early to verify.

The COVID-19 death rate is nine times higher than in Finland, nearly five times higher than in Norway, and more than twice as high as in Denmark.

In order to achieve herd immunity you have to front-load the cost. It appears that's what is happening here.

Also very interesting is the international perception is that the Swedes are choosing this as a rational and informed strategy but the article heavily implies that they arrived at this result through incompetence or at least bad organization and leadership.
