Sweden is interesting because it's the only western country I'm aware of that isn't bothering with a lock-down and instead relying on the developing herd immunity quickly strategy the UK originally wanted to follow. In order to achieve herd immunity you have to front-load the cost. It appears that's what is happening here.
Also very interesting is the international perception is that the Swedes are choosing this as a rational and informed strategy but the article heavily implies that they arrived at this result through incompetence or at least bad organization and leadership.
