I don't see how anyone can level in "non-ZEM" zones. Like for me its out of the question. Is the EXP really that good in those places?
There's more to the game than exp per hour.

Personally, I value convenience and "play at my pace" vastly more than raw exp rate.

I'd rather get half the exp rate at a tucked-away little camp on the far side of the world where the instant I log in, the camp is mine, where I can safely AFK when I need/want to without someone else showing up, where I can avoid any drama, etc. So I exp in spots like kerra isle, west karana, lake rathe, or guard camps that aren't oggok, places like that.

And there's something to be said for playing in a quiet spot during peak hours when it comes to exp per hour, too. The best ZEM dungeon in the game doesn't mean too much if you spend an hour on a list or /lfg or forming a group before you spend 90 minutes killing stuff, for example.

Yeah, I mean I can log on my tank and go to Guk or whatever and get great ZEM except you know, I'm the tank so it's tiring after a couple of hours. I'm always mashing shit and trying to keep stuff aggro and everything else a good tank has to do, it's very very active and after a while it can get tiring. And you're confined to the group's pace, if you want to take 10 mins off because you have to glue back your rearview mirror on your 1999 Jeep Wrangler, you gonna wait for that.

Or I can log in somewhere in South Karana and stare down a gnoll with no one else around and take it easy. I'll make 1/4 the experience, but you know, like Tecmos said there's more to the game than that, at least for me.
