Green circle is static gnoll spawn near a tree. The red two can be grey wolf, bear, or rabid wolf.

Red circle spawns both path north.

Do you have to kill the placeholder before they will spawn?

Yes. Those are the mobs I was spawning from those points. Sat at that tree and got gnoll teeth and rabid pelts for quests.

I haven't quite found the correct tree because I have yet to witness a spawn but will keep watching.

I am familiar with Holly but not Cros.
