I have on live, actually. I lived with an instrument on my cursor, borderline carpal tunnel from twisting, and hated my life. Ended up leaving the Bard until PoP with instrument modifiers on gear and /melody.
Hard to go back to old school Bard after that.

So yes, I'm loathe to min-max like that again for an extra 0.07%* dps.

* - percentage is completely fictional, but I couldn't care less otherwise. If you need to neckbeard that hard on a 20 year old game you're doing something wrong.
