A good suggestion.
Dont unzip the files replace them manually thats what I did and did not have an issue. check to see if it replaced your whole resource folder with the one in the patch or just added the updated file. Should have 3 folders and 7 files inside of the Resources folder. If it did you might need to do a clean install of the game and set it up for the server again. Either way this will fix the problem and you wont lose anything. Except you have to put whatever UI and other changes like new textures etc.
