I agree with Slyfox, I worked at best buy so I'm kinda okay at guestimating prices for computers, I'd say 300$ish, 400 tops. Not sure about the lap top though I'd guess the same price range going by the ram/hd/proc

Forget anything anyone tells you about laptops and just realize 99% of them have godawful screens on them that do about 200:1 contrast ratio. The only laptop I would consider buying released in the past X years is either an HP dreamcolor (extremely expensive with IPS screen) or a Dell equipped with an RGBLED screen (RGBLED not WLED) or a Dell equipped with a 120hz 3d screen (3d just means it runs at 120hz instead of 60hz, these screens also look way better in color and contrast then the normal shit-tops).

The dell RGBLED screen was a $100 upgrade option for a while then they ran out, dunno if they have them again yet. If they don't, buy a Dell XPS17 Laptop with a 3d (120hz) screen.

The ones I mentioned will do something like 700:1 contrast ratio while all the others will be like 200:1 and look terrible.

Make sure to get one with an Nvidia 300, 400, or 500 series GPU (or ATI 5000, or 6000 series). Using the built in intel GPU won't run games too well.
