I actually got annoyed with the pop being so high on green that I went back to blue for a bit.

I wanted to head to geo caves since I figured they wouldn't be camped for a change. Not a single Dial a Port on. No druid or wizard to port me and the prospect of a 2+ hour journey (two boat rides) to get there basically made me log off instantly.

Without the community infrastructure the motivation to play on Blue goes away pretty quick.

Odd - my night was spent killing Vindi, then doing a Chardok CE pick up group for about 2 hours. Maybe ya just had bad luck?

The lack of DaP on the server right now is definitely a thing. Someone should create a guild called <100 Plat Ports> and clean up.

Blue was dead this weekend. 500 during peak and 300 or less anything non-peak.
A LITTLE higher than that (https://unixgeek.com/eqemu.html), but yeah, it was like playing an "offbrand" freeshard =D

I am in DaP and was only person on. I was anon because I wanted to get some XP in, and hey, camps are actually open!

I do have [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]ial: in my name so people started sending me tells even while anon and I *did* port them around, due to some sense of duty or something [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

But yeah, its a self fufilling prophecy. Some DaPers do it because you can make good plat - but if no players to port around, why play a porter? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

As far as EC prices go, I doubt they will drop. Prices are always based on supply and demand. Supply is high and demand is low prices drop. Supply is low and demand is high then prices rise. There is less of both. Less sellers and less buyers so my prediction is the prices will stay mostly where they were before greens launch with maybe some prices even going up.

That's just my guess.
The demand is going way down because no new players on blue anymore all new players will go to green.

Supply will stay nearly the same because of the greedy dragon lords with their million plat still have all those tunnel bots full of gear. And those still playing will still be farming.

I've been in the tunnel on Blue since Green has gone live and this isn't the case. Supply is way down.

Idk. People have been complaining about Blue pop being too high even at 800, which was right before the weird influx of about 500 players that happened right before chardok 2.0 patch.

500 has been a blast. As a “hardcore casual,” I’ve been able to dip into raids and dip back into nearly uncontested solo/duo/trio camps on my lvl 35 mage, 40 enc, 51 nec, 51 ranger, 55 SK and 60 shaman, while still seeing enough people for duo/trio, ToV dragons, random Hate minis, Vindis, ports, etc.

I logged in EC last night and sold 2k worth of velious gems in 20 mins, for God’s sake. That NEVER happened in the last 5 months! I must be playing a different game...

Anyone who is a serious trader would be playing on both servers at once if that was the reason. There is no reason not to sit in EC while playing on Green if you are a tunnel rat. It's what I do.
