On p99, if you end up with more than 8 characters on a single account, that is on you. Login accounts are FREE on EQEMU, and you know about this issue NOW, so if you insist on jamming a single account with 16 characters, oh well, not so sure the devs are going to be that understanding.

I think I will make a separate login account for my green characters. My concern, though, is I will have to delete the "reserved names" from my main (blue) account in order to use them on a separate green-specific account. Not a problem for me, they're level 1s. Problem for people that have a high-level character they'd like to use the name of on green.

Not to mention I've witnessed firsthand numerous instances of the server names database acting fucky about updating after deletion, and not allowing you to re-create a name you just deleted.

In my worthless opinion, the whole cross-server name reservation thing was not a great idea. The repeated names on green are gonna have to be changed anyway when it merges to blue.
