Not terrible. A human shadowknight of Bertox is a hard start, but Qeynos Aquaducts is pretty amazing once you learn the zone. Early on as a human without infravision it was very difficult.

I've played several Iksar characters all the way up and you will learn tricks like Gypsies will sell to everyone and you can kind of bank change into plat by buying gems and selling them back. You do have to go home for spells and training.
