Have any of you ever changed your mind about anything as a result of these forum threads? How can you have a productive discussion when the other side doesn’t even believe in the same facts or news sources?
Yes. But it's a dying breed that's willing to share their personal pain with the greater web. It takes a bright soul to endure the slings and arrows and suffer through the change.

I don't really think that there are just two sides, and if anything I'm angrier at the Democrats than Republicans.

I guess what I mean is, aren’t the right-wing nuts wrong because they don’t believe what’s on the Real Actual News? And they believe stuff they read on these wacky little text-only sites that don’t cite real sources? I’m not the crazy one...am I??

I voted for TRUMP but won’t repear that mistake in 2020. I don’t credit these forums; I’m honorable, intelligent, pragmatic, and sane, I just naturally gravitate towards right wing thinking because I understand adversity actually prepares us for life. Unfortunately, the republicans have, for a long time, been a reactionary party of pro-war, anti-science morons who set the country back decades, whereas the Dems, since the Clinton era, have actually adopted Eisenhower era (sane) republican, center-right positions. I really don’t know how we get back to a place where we have a conservative, pro-market economy party and a sane center-left party looking out for labor and keeping business honest. It will take a man forged by adversity. I feel confident that we will know him when he rises.

I agree with some of this. Your bias is shown by the red letter words.
What I agree with is the "forged by adversity" part. That is President Trump.
