I emphasized the key phrase here. Fricken Connecticut and it's stupid laws.

Ya know when I drive up to New Hampshire I am awed by the fact that there are massive state owned liquor outlets on the sides of the highway selling booze to speeding motorists. Hell they even post huge signs on the highway announcing them! That one can walk into a Walmart there and find a wine section. Hell down south I've seen drive-thru alcohol shops! And yet we here can't even get it from a damn grocery store on Sunday or any weekday if it's too late at night [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'd say I was sorry to hijack the rant but, ya know, I think this is truly a valid bitch.

i worked at a liqour store and we had a drive thru, a bell would ring when someone would pull up. I got tipped as much as 20 bucks sometimes. Some people would order a cup of ice, a can of coke, and a pint of rum/whiskey/vodka.....

To be fair there's a big difference between driving drunk, and driving after drinking.

Not really. Slow reaction times are slow. Any operation of a motor vehicle after ingestion of alcohol is fucking stupid, and only a complete dipshit would try to justify it. The world would be a much better place if anyone who would drive after drinking and their whole fucking gene pools (yes, your grandmother too) would get turned into fucking grey spots by natural disasters / terrorists / the family members of people who have been killed by drunk drivers.

slow reaction times also happen when you're tired, pissed off, distracted, singing a really good song, talking on the phone, doing ur makeup, arguing with ur wife, smoking a cigarette, emotional, etc. i am p sure most people are better at driving after one beer than they are on 2 hours of sleep. saying DRIVING AFTER HAVING ANY ALCOHOL IS MURDER + U SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM GENE POOL just shows that maybe ur the one who should be naturally selected for sterilization i m o

Connecticut's still being ran by a Puritan mindset back when the pilgrims first landed on Fraggle Rock.
