I don’t fancy the religious implications of watshisname menzoberranzan’s grid theory, but I can appreciate the parallels drawn. Did you know there are extremophiles living kilometres beneath the crust of the earth? That place on the grid is positively swarming with them.
My favourite extremophiles are tardigrades, which are a lesser known taxa of invertebrates- aka water bears or moss piglets; they can survive in the most ridiculous of extreme environments using cryptobiosis, which means bringing themselves to a truly death-like state, killing their metabolism and surviving for as long as necessary, until conditions permit them to come to life once again. I believe many people on this forum are in a state of cryptobiosis, and I don’t believe any "unity consciousness" can be achieved until we stop attention whoring, start colemaking and start relating to the sexdecillions of consciousnesses this universe is teeming with.

also, tardigrades are just the cutest things!
