I'm new to the server so can someone please explain what exactly these earthquakes are?

During an earthquake, every raid mob on the server repops simultaneously, which means there are a TON of targets up at once. It let’s smaller and less advanced guilds see content they otherwise don’t, and let’s the more hardcore guilds compete for a large number of targets in a short period of time.

In this case, every raid target in the game died within about 3 hours...
