Sorry no one responded to you faster. It takes a bit of practice, and I'm sure you've gotten it by now, but in case someone else sees this, here goes:

Climb to the top of the ladder by looking up. Then, turn around from on top of the ladder. While facing the platform, push jump and then once you are in the air, push the forward movement key.

You'll catch on the ledge and you should be on the platform.
