Malroth - if you're a caster, you're a caster (and have 100+ wis/int as a result) you should be ok as far as skillups and, subsequently, with success rate (though, when you start gorgets, you may fail about half the time). If you're a melee class, find a shaman and get their best strength buff. get your strength as high as you can before starting your combines.

Well I am doing it with my troll SK, I wasn't sure about buff's helping or not. I had a shammy str. buff a couple times (they weren't the big later str buffs though) and it seemed to get skill ups at about the same rate, weird thing is though, someone gave me a Gromlok's basher that has something like +3 str, and everytime I have it equiped I am getting skill ups far more frequently than before. It made me think that maybe equip items with +str maybe better than the +str buffs, have you guys found out that to be true at all or is it just dumb luck lol.

And thank you again for listing that smithing progression, I started making the gorgets and and am closing in on 80, didn't have a lot of time to mess with it earlier, thank you once again!
