another smithing questing

See, I read a classic blacksmithing guide that pretty much said the same thing for after 68, to make skewers, but when I tried it it was trivial so I cannot get any skill points for it. I'm not sure but it seems kinda broken to a certain extent, what I mean is that some of the old classic recipes seemed to be remade like the skewers(according to EQtraders) is trivial at 38, where as in old classic people made them into the 100's or at least until they could make banded.

The ones that I have tried and cannot make are the dairy spoons, filleting knife(think i will try the large targ shield next depending on the cost), and I haven't been able to turn the rusty weapons into ore either. Now for the ore and dairy spoon, I just figured that they were not in classic(the fillet knife seems like it should be though), but I know the skewers were according to what I have read anyway, it's just that they are trivial(to me at 68 anyway, and probably did around the 38 skill range).

If anybody has leveled smithing and can remember what they did around skill 68 to level to start making banded it would be greatly appreciated.

doh, posted before I seen the reply's, wall of text fail lol, Ok thanks guys, that I was worried about, wasn't sure if I would fail everytime if I tried to make the banded gorget's because skill being too low at 68, will try it in game, thanks again everyone
