I would say iksar monk is way better, as noted before:

Everyone who can port can also make you invisible. necro's, orges, trolls and darkelves all have to live with being Kos and they can manage too [You must be logged in to view images. I played an Iksar monk and didn't find it too hard to level him as there are some very nice 1hb monk weapons with kunark. Being hated everywhere wasn't a major problem either, I killed the guards at the toll booth in WC and ended up being loved by the guards in North freeport where I could go to through the secret tunnel and bank and could sell to any vendor using sneak.
