Maybe if the guy wouldn't have been breaking the law, then the cop wouldn't have used his standard force. This is the reason we have a crime problem. There is no respect for authority in America anymore. This idiot with the camera proves it.

Filming cops for no reason and then proceeding to LIE about being on his own property seems like a pretty big indicator that the camera man was trying to start an incident like this. Why would you say you don't live at the property you are on unless you were expecting a reaction? For all they knew he was gonna try some B&E.

And although I confess I haven't cared enough to look on the net for any pictures of the camera man after the supposed "beating" I'd say it sounds pretty much like he's trying to sound dramatic for effect. Who the fuck yells HELP HELP HAAAAAAALP when they are being arrested? Who is going to come help you? Nobody. But maybe it'll sound good on your bullshit recording...

Doesn't matter whether it's his property. Even if it isn't his property, that doesn't mean he didn't have permission to be there. The officer never asked that.

By law, only a property owner or resident can make a trespassing complaint. No matter what way you try cut it, the officer had no right to approach him.

Obviously legal to film police, but it doesn't mean that the camera man wasn't trying to start something. He had no other reason to lie. I'm not condoning the cops beating the piss out of him, but to claim he was some innocent bystander that got jumped for no reason is not truthful.

If some dude was standing outside your house at 2AM and told the cops he didn't live there, would you want them to drive off because you (the owner) didn't know he was outside trespassing yet?
