I dont care if they let you off or took your to jail or smashed your head against a wall, the fact that they are bothering you is enough. As for the possible felonies, any lawyer worth his salt can get that shit knocked down to community service at worst. Thank god for defense attorneys.

I show multiple examples of cops being able to do x, but instead doing something MUCH less severe than x. That right there shows that not all cops want to fuck over everyone as much as possible, else they would have done more in those situations, it's that simple. Whether we should have been interacting with the cop in the first place is irrelevant. The cop could do x, but instead does something less severe than x. That is enough to refute what you said.

The issue about we shouldn't have needed to interact with the cops in the first place is dumb. Do you think cops write the laws? (shit, you probably do, lol) I agree, I should be able to drive 80 or smoke pot or do donuts in an empty parking lot, but there are laws against it, if I break them I run the chance of getting in trouble. Cops don't make these laws, they just (leniently) enforce them.

Oh, and as for the defense attorney bit, so you're saying my friend could have spent well over the cost of the fine to hire an attorney for a CHANCE of getting the felonies reduced? rofl
