Miscellaneous: Mage Epic pets are currently not classic on P99 (too overpowered)

The pet looks like a huge air pet, it's lvl 50 and hits for max 67dmg. It also does a 300dd with 11sec stun. AND it got a 51pt self only dmg shield

Just pointing out this guy is clearly not a credible source. 300 DD with an 11 second stun? I'm sure most mages would gladly trade their 81 max hit for a 67 max hit if they got that absurdly OP DD/stun combo.

The logs were really all that was needed, best source for the DD and hits. No chance of remembering incorrectly.

The last patch before Luclin was on 11/08/2001 which would put these logs outside the scope of the project. Perhaps some in-era evidence to validate your hypothesis is in order.

There is another angle of course which is the known bug that causes mage pets to not proc nearly as often as they should like in-era. This is perhaps a balancing to have a more classic pet dps experience.

edit: Oh forgot procs/spells. Proced 18 times, for a *potential* of 2574 extra damage(18*143). Stuns were all resist I guess since the mob is 60th. Not sure, but they didn't show up.

It's true. Mage epic was upgraded at least once, possibly twice.

Exactly. So claiming this evidence falls out of scope when clearly it is in scope is known as trolling and does in fact belong in RnF.

Actually the server is supposed to go to the last patch before luclin release not the actual release date. However reading comprehension has never been your strong suit.

I wish we had a parse of some lower levels mobs so we can nail down the DD and stun component.

The last patch before Luclin would still be the live patch for these logs. The servers were all on that patch up until the Luclin patch on December 4th. Unless you're implying p99 would skip the last patch before Luclin for some reason?

No opinion on the change one way or the other, but I don't see why logs from before December 4th wouldn't be valid.
