I may still play cause.. its a new MMO. But I agree. A little RNG like varying damage or loot can be ok. But randomly having your spell completely fail is stupid.

The heart of RPG's is literally about getting hit with rng (unexpected circumstances) and working together to deal with it.

How fun would it be if every step your character took, you have a 1/1000 chance to be blinded and stunned for 1 minute?

Now they are all about having unlimited resources and twitch spamming stuff like it's a freakin street fighter game. Some RPGs have even gone so far as removing mana pools because they are so useless these days.

If you remove spell fizzles, you have to remove melee misses as well, otherwise not fair.
