Oh, and handing in stacks is indeed classic, screwed up a lot of quests for many. My guess is it is disabled here as it is a CSR overload issue or not possible with titanium client.

Yep, you could hand an NPC a stack of an item but it would just eat them up, not giving you multiple turn-ins.

Be mindful of turning in task items in stacks, as with all quests in
EQ, please seperate the items before turning them in for a reward.

- Players can no longer attempt to give stacks of items to NPCs. The NPC would treat the
stack as one item and you would lose the rest. There is now a check to help with people
putting in a stack of items and losing them.

Patch Notes for September 19, 2012

- Added the ability to turn in stacks of items to NPCs.

On live you can actually turn in 4 stacks of 1,000 now.
