I never really understood anything about Bards, I just remember how much I loved having them in my group because they'd always give me little 12 second buffs with the silly names. I thought they were mostly a grouping class and I kind of wanted to roll something with less of an offensive role after having played a tank 10 years ago. I also didn't think I'd be that serious about this server so I wanted to roll something fun. I definitely made the right choice in the end, I can't imagine enjoying any class anywhere near as much as I enjoy playing my Bard.

I thought EverQuest would be much more roleplay than it was, although I was "blessed" with a server that was very open to roleplayers. I put lot of thought into what I'd play, based on roleplay.
When I saw dark elves, I knew I was going to play one. I wanted to be important in their culture, and be involved in the furtherance of their Dark God's will. So I rolled a Cleric. I ask you - why is it that a cleric to the Prince of Hate, the Lord of Ire, the Seething God.... is a healer? Tunarean priests cast the very same spells as a priest of Innoruuk. It made no sense to me. So I deleted, and played a class I deemed truer to the faith. A Necromancer. Ask Cristanos Thex - she agrees with me!
