Mass comes mainly from diet, second to that would be consistency with squats and making sure that you're getting within a few reps of failure on your working sets. Trap bar deads are a good movement, but tend to be more quad-dominant like Patriam said. You can adjust your body position and make it more of a hip hinge to get more hamstring involvement if you're after that. Deads in general aren't a huge mass builder, but there's something awesome about picking something heavy up off of the ground anyway

Just do weights at home and walk / jog / cycle outdoors, you can always pull over and do pushups situps and crunches on the sidewalk, its funny cause fat people give you looks like you are an idiot and sip a big coke
