For something that doesn't affect people, marijuana sure makes pot-smokers go apoplectic over someone saying it might be harmful. I bet they waste more than half their lives ranting over how safe it is and how much worse alchohol is for you. And from personal experience, pot-smokers can SUCK at doing normal tasks just because they are stoned. I've been on more than a dozen gigs where someone was too busy staring into space to make a cue, or THOUGHT that solo was bitchin, but was actually the lamest crap any two-year old with broken fingers ever produced because they had just smoked a big fat doobie. Also, I've known three pot smokers that had psychological withdrawl that was so severe, that when they couldn't get pot, they were generally useless, as all they could do was stare wild eyed and rant about how they HAD to get some pot. This is no exagerration as they were not acting, and they didn't have enough brains to conceive of acting in any event.

I assume I'm responding to someone right now that is high. I was in an industry where virtually everyone was high all the time. I lost money and opportunities because of people that were high, so I have a bit of a sour taste for associating with addicts. I watched people that were given 100 k advances to do recording back in the 80s blow it on coke. They also smoked a ton of pot.

I knew a guy that when he was a little drunk ( after only a couple high-balls and a few beers), was the typical friendly drunk: hard to understand, gripped your shoulder too hard while he was talking to you, etc. When he got totally smashed, he suddenly appeared rock sober and drove like Maro Andretti. You couldn't tell he was drunk, but his blood alchohol had to be about 2.0 or higher.

I know everyone is different. I know not everyone that smokes pot is the devil. I just hate pot because I've had sooooo many bad experiences with pot-heads, and their drivel about all of its tremendous benefits is so boring that it's offensive.
