This definitely never happened. I never died water dancing. I only died a couple times on that char and it was in KC and my bind point.

If new server: ONE account per player, verified by real life info. Not shareable or tradeable.

Oh and revert to server start pvp rules/pvp level range/ SZ style xp loss on pvp death (or RZ style item loot, choose either but one of these is needed to give death extra sting it needs) etc.

If I was sirken I would just pop in to ToV one day as the major guild kills a hard dragon and just instant kill the dragon and suspend all toons where they stand then line them up and do a massive box test. Any toon that goes LD gets an auto suspension.

unrelated note: Box pop is lowish because of training/griefing (it's been hovering at a player density that's just boring enough to discourage consistent fuckery for a couple years now). Reset wouldn't have any effect after a couple months and a reset cycle of a couple months would quickly kill the casual population.

If you enforce the rules and take out non-classic griefing incentives like global YT's, it would slowly go up on its own. Current pop seems fine though. I'd quit if it turned into another clusterfuck like blue.

I legitimately want to start the next real pvp server. I played SZ, VZ/TZ, and the other pvp incarnations including a bit of R99. What servers did you play on? Like your ideas. Need to get in touch with the hard corers and see what the interest level is.

The server doesn’t need complicated rules. It just needs antihax with limited to no intervention from “staff” other than fixing bugs and stopping trainers. The only custom thing I’d be interested in is PvP deaths sending you to east commons or something to add a sting for death while also preventing bind rushing. Maybe an option to summon your body with a two hour Rez effect debuff to act as an automated loot and scoot. If you could really find some immersion and coding then adding quests and itemization to underused areas of classic EQ would be cool.

I can't remember if it was VZ/TZ or LoZ but one of them had some amazing custom events. Everfrost caves raid? I'm not some purist, I want to capture the spirit of EQ pvp, not some cardboard carbon copy.

Been thinking about the idea of one toon per person, single box only.

I am a software engineer and database expert willing to work on a new server. I would admit that I am stuck on a 18 year old elf sim blah blah blah. Truth is there has never been a better MMO than EQ and broken/unbalanced as EQ pvp was nothing better has emerged. One or more might have but $$$ on the millions has trumped any attempt at making a game fun.
