I thought the damage cap got raised at 20 and disappeared at 30?
But even so, you wont hit as hard at 30 as you will at 50 due to not having as much 2hb skill. If you can get a bo staff (8/20 2hb) that would work great for keeping your skill up while not sacrificing too much damage potential until the caps get raised/removed. Chances are good that at 20 using a 19/20 weapon the damage cap won't affect you enough to notice it.
