Leveling: Early Teens around Qeynos

Gnolls fangs great from 5 to 10 - then XP from then just dies out.
At lev 16 you can start soloing Elite/Commander rooms - but after 18 Xp dies down so much, its much better to move into WK for bandit camps starting from 16 - use your Harmony to split camps.

I went from 1-23 in like 17 hours of play time on my monk on gnoll fangs alone, all solo, non-twinked. As a caster, it should be faster.

then amount of Xp you geting on P99 is not in tune with true classic =P
I remember handing in over 100 fangs at 12+ - got like 1 yellow total out of it (i was a druid).
This is when I gave up on the fangs all together and moved to WK

I remember handing in a similar amount and gained about a level so I tink you remember bad.

But anyway... at that level you can start getting groups in west karana killing bandits. They're good exp and good money so long as 14+ magician/necros aren't camping em. At level 10-11 you will need a group to do them, though. Watch out for the casters and the brigands. If you have a magic weapon you can try killing willowisps on the island you can reach from the boat in i think south qeynos (from the docks). They drop greater light stones that you can turn into a non-player at the gypsy camp in north karana.

I think there's a camp of scarecrows on the farm in west karana but I haven't tried those.

And as someone else said, the werewolf will beat your a**. He walks from the west side qeynos hills entrance follow the road east through the small village (withe shopkeeper) and past the first bandit farm and etcetcetc.
